Coffee lovers, raise your hand! I know my day just isn’t right without that daily dose of caffeine, and I know I’m not the only one! In fact, if I don’t drink coffee before 2 pm I get a massive headache.

This is partially the reason why I never drink more than 2-3 cups a day – I don’t want my body to become completely dependent on that cup of coffee! Anyone else do this? Anyway, this means that when I do drink that cup of coffee, it’s quite a highlighted moment in my day. This also means that I want to enjoy it as much as possible, which is where this almond butter latte comes in!

Yes, this recipe is completely vegan 😉 Lately I’ve been trying more and more plant based milk varieties, even though soy will still be my go-to choice for my morning oats. However, I found out that almond milk is super delicious for things like this almond butter latte! I’m not a big fan of oat milk, perhaps with the right recipe. Oh, and have you ever tried flax milk?! It’s… interesting 😉

Almond butter latte


Prep Time 5 minutes
Servings 1 cup

Ingredients

  • 75 ml espresso
  • 100 ml almond milk
  • 3 tsp almond butter
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 drop vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Mix the honey, vanilla and almond butter together at the bottom of a cup. Heat up the almond milk.

  2. Add the hot espresso and almond milk, and stir well. Enjoy!
