Ohhhh today I have a real treat for you! When I started living on my own, and cooking for myself, I always bought a dressing in the supermarket because I simply didn’t know how easy it was to make them myself. And now I can’t even remember the last time I bought one of those dressings! This dressing is perfect for over your salad, vegetables, mozzarella or even meat.
I’ve actually made this dressing twice already, together with the salad that I’ll post in a couple of days, which is not something I usually do… That must show how good it is! My boyfriend and his family approved 😉
Basil and balsamic vinegar dressing
Okay so I learned at the European Food Blogger Convention that Google loves lists. Apparently. So I’ll make you a list with why I love this dressing so much! It’s…
- Home made
And because of the olive oil, you can store it in the fridge for a longer time, too!
- Fresh basil, around 40g
- Garlic, 1 clove
- Balsamic vinegar, 25 ml
- Olive oil, 100 ml
- Lemon juice, 1 teaspoon
- Salt and pepper
- It's as simple as this: place everything in a blender or mixer and... mix everything until smooth!
- I'm afraid you're going to have to trust your guts with this one, as not all basil tastes the same and balsamic vinegar can sometimes be sweeter than another time. Simply taste, add, taste and add again until you think it's right.
