How about a new healthy, colorful lunch recipe to impress? | Sweet potato toast is healthy, delicious and done in minutes! Today I share two varieties.
Have you already tried this super easy delicious new trend? The Sweet potato toast is a great alternative for normal sandwiches, very healthy and even gluten free! The amazing thing about it is the variety, you can literally go crazy with the toppings. Additionally, the orange colour makes it so attractive-looking, which is something I really love about this recipe. And, last but not least, it can also be served as breakfast or even a nice dinner to share, doesn’t this just sound amazing?

YUMM! This is a burger that both of us loved. And no, it’s not a chicken burger with avocado on top: it’s actually a mixture of avocado and chicken and it is oh so good.

This weekend we spent our time in our lovely apartment in Breda. As the boyfriend is always home quite late during the weekdays I’m usually the one who cooks, so this Sunday we decided to switch roles. He decided to prepare toasted wraps with shawarma, avocado and lettuce with some garlic sauce, and it was really good! And that for only €2,90 a person…
Usually we just pop the wraps in the microwave for 30 seconds but we were told that you have to pan fry them so they get nice and crisp. Definitely a good tip! Also, we usually eat wraps with chicken but swapping this for shawarma was a good idea. The avocado adds this creaminess that nearly replaces the sauce you’d normally add, and it’s sooo tasty!
By the way: I’ve been quite addicted to Instagram lately! Love looking at the pictures everyone posts and of course I enjoy seeing your comments to the pictures I post myself. Feel free to follow me: stayaliveandcooking.

After all that cake and fries in my birthday weekend I decided it was time for something a little healthier for Monday’s dinner. A salad is always a good idea, and I found some tasty but rather healthy ingredients to go with it, creating a turkey-avocado-lettuce-feta quinoa salad!
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but it’s currently 4 degrees out here in Breda (the Netherlands) and I’m sitting outside, on my balcony, with a blanket and my laptop. The sun is shining so bright that it’s not cold at all! I absolutely love blogging this way, and I can’t wait for spring… Who’s with me!
