Hi there, my favourite readers and blogger friends! Today I’m going to start with a post I’d like to bring back more often: food talk! This is a chance for me to get to know you, and to give an update of what’s going on in my life. I’ll share some of my favourite blog posts from the internet, some cool recipes or Instagram updates… Who knows!
I was at my parent’s place when I found these AMAZING vintage (real real real vintage from mothers great aunt or something) teacups etc. and I decided it was time for a little photography practising 😉 I made some tea and took everything outside in the sun! And you have to admit it looks sort of British, those teacups and saucers… That’s why I figured “How do you do?” would be the perfect title! *insert British accent*
I love food, I love writing and I love lists. What’s not to love about the 25 food questions tag? Accompanied with random food photos. Yes. I made sure that all the pictures are clickable so they will redirect you to the recipe or post that belongs to the photo, how cool is that?!
By the way, if there for any reason are questions you’d like to ask me feel free to do so! You can fill out a contact form or simply send me a message on Facebook or Instagram.
This weekend has been a little hectic because we celebrated my boyfriends birthday, so we didn’t cook at all on Saturday. We were so lazy we just ate the leftover crackers and cheeses! Tomorrow I’ll be back with a great budget proof recipe.
So today (Wednesday) I feel like writing because it’s my first day back to school. I’m following classes from 12-17 and I’m extremely nervous! You might be thinking “gee woman, I thought facing your fears meant wrestling a bear or jumping out of a burning air plane!” Well, you thought wrong.
Don’t worry: this is not a post full of complaints and sob stories.
I feel like writing something so write I shall. Read this blog if you’d like to know a bit more about me 🙂 Okay I started writing about life at my parents’ place, but I just came back from having dinner at the restaurant I used to work at. I feel like I have to write about it, because I’m bouncing around with so much energy… Everyone was so sweet I could seriously cry right now! I scratched every part I wrote about life at my parents place because it is too distracting haha.
There is so much going on in my head I have no idea how I’m supposed to sleep tonight. I will try to write it down and I’m currently chatting with my friend Mariska, which always helps. I have to post this, I think it’s a good idea to share it but it’s scary. Scary is bad. Scary things are things I would avoid. But I’m in a learning process, and scary is what I need to learn. Yes. No. Scary. I will never fall asleep like this…
Good morning, I think it’s time for another life update 😉
First of all: today is not my birthday. It was actually on 12/02, but I didn’t get to write about it until now! Even though I was alone on the day itself I had a really great birthday: we went out for dinner at an awesome wine bar (review will follow soon) and celebrated my birthday for family on Saturday in our apartment. My lovely friends came over on Sunday for some wine and cheese, too! Overall a great birthday weekend if you ask me.
The day started as it usually would: I went to the gym for a short morning work-out, and started planning my day after that. I had to finish one soup, prepare another, and bake two cakes! I prepared roasted tomato soup, a typical Dutch pea soup, a chocolate/vanilla cake and this lovely carrot cake. Took me nearly all day but the results were really nice 🙂
Today I’ll write about something a little different, but still a subject I love: movies. In my spare time I not only like to cook, I also watch loads of series and movies. And what’s better than to combine the two: watch a lot of movies about food!
I’ve prepared a list of my personal favourites, if you have any more I should watch feel free to let me know!
Good day to you!
I’d like to share some stories of what I’ve been up to the past few weeks. The first month of the year has past: how are we doing in terms of new years resolutions?! Also: my boyfriend moved in with me in my apartment in December and we had the entire month of January to spend together. Last weekend we “upgraded” our house a bit, just before he had to start his placement. I had to get used to being alone from 7 am to 7 pm, which has been weird! But I found some activities to entertain myself 😉
I’ve been to school this week to talk about my options of returning there after being gone for nearly a year. I’ve discussed this in the previous “Life Updates”, so I won’t talk about that too much now. I’ve been blogging a lot, already 18 published posts and I’m not even working on it for a month! I’ll include some pictures to illustrate my life a bit, and we’ll see where it goes.
I started this blog to be able to share my love for food, as well as to clear my mind a bit. I’ve always felt that writing things down helps to give certain feelings a place, as well as help understand situations better. The following Life Updates will contain my life for the past couple of weeks: my first experiences with living together, improving our house even more (pictures!), I’ve been to a Toko for the first time ever (they had wasabi ice cream, really!), I learned a lot about myself and I unfortunately still have to deal with this anxiety. I’m quite busy tackling this fear: I even went to school today after almost a year! Hopefully I’ll soon feel confident enough to start going there daily again.
There’s so much going on in my head right now I don’t even know how I’m going to write this all down! But surely I can’t be the only one who feels overwhelmed sometimes, so maybe someone can identify with this. Okay, where do I start…
Good day all!
Today I share with you another experience. I’ll be back to posting recipes soon, I promise! But I really enjoy writing so I’m just going to bother you with these stories first 😉 It was a great day, so hopefully you’ll enjoy reading about it, too. I’ve got my fluffy socks on, a cup of tea close, it’s bad weather outside so I’ve got nowhere to be… Good to go!
