A delicious apple pear cake, sweetened with honey instead of sugar. Less guilty but still super tasty, comforting and satisfying!
Woohoo, all people with a sweet tooth unite! Dessert is my favourite part of the meal, and I will never turn down a piece of pie or cake 😉 Who’s with me? Today I share one of my baking experiments, namely an apple pear cake!
Quick question: what do you think of my photos? Of course, I try to improve every time I post a new blog. However, I never really get feedback, so I was quite curious! Personally I was quite pleased with how this cake turned out, in real life and on the photos (I took 160 photos!!) but I’m always up for some suggestions.
Also, I’ve been improving my pinterest pin-photos! At first I had no idea where to start, and I would just take two pictures that looked good and then add some text. Usually just the title of the recipe, nothing special. Buuut I’ve been playing around with this and now it looks a bit more professional, don’t you think? 🙂
Yeah, so I’m going to address the difference with this apple pear cake over my previous baking experiments: I used no sugar. This is not because I’m turning into a health freak, no, I still love my sugar and butter… But I figured, why not give it a shot? The cake wasn’t as sweet as normal (you can always add more honey of course!) but I found it really nice. The apple and pear aren’t overpowered by sweetness, and you can still taste that hint of cinnamon.
Plus, my mom loved it. So I’m guessing this recipe succeeded 😉
Also, did you guys know apples have many health benefits? You can read about them in this article by Helen from Well Being Secrets!
