As you all know, I am a student, and as you’ve probably already found out I am in love with food. Being a student means you’ve got limited budget and have to find creative ways to spend this, but I’m not particularly good at this. I spend so much money on food! This doesn’t have to be a bad thing, I mean hey many people spend a lot on their hobbies too.. haha! But I’d like to see if I can cook budget proof recipes for an entire month.
One of the things I thought of to improve my website is taking on some challenges. I’ve posted a poll asking what challenges you’d like me to try (find it here) for upcoming months/weeks/whatever. Cooking budget proof but tasty recipes will be my first challenge for March!
To be honest I don’t know yet how much I’d like to spend per meal: perhaps less than 2 euros? But I’ll include the price per person per dish, so we’ll be able to see how well I’m doing 🙂 I’ll set a “price goal” after I’ve done my grocery shopping for this week.
I’ve got a lot of inspiration: from soups to vegetable dishes, rice, noodles, potatoes… So I’m sure there will be some great recipes the upcoming weeks! Even if there’s not really a recipe I’ll share a quick story on what we ate and how much it cost 🙂
Sounds like a good challenge, no? If you have any recipes or tips feel free to let me know!
