Woaaaah, it’s already August! How time flies… I decided to dedicate a post to my “month overview” because I feel like I left out so much important stuff on my blog lately. Expect a small food diary, an overview of some of my adventures this month and some popular posts.

Anyway, how has your month been? Any exciting news? If you’ve tried any recipes lately you’d like to share, feel free to leave a comment!

Life

Sooo, let’s see if I can make a quick overview of my life the past month. It wasn’t that interesting at all I can tell you: I’m done with school for now and decided not to work this summer so that I can focus on my therapy sessions and stuff. But some exciting things did happen..

School

I passed everything!!

I can't go a week without buying things for in my kitchen. I'm addicted. #foodblog #foodie #ineedhelp

Foodgawker

I got my first post approved on Foodgawker.com! You can look at it here. I’m extremely excited, as I’ve tried many times but wasn’t accepted before. Since I started blogging I’ve worked on improving my photos, and this month I finally bought a professional camera! So that definitely makes it easier to try different things, and I’ve had a lot of fun trying it out and discovering all the different options.

House warming

Everybody loves meatballs! And they will sure love this recipe for smokey barbecue meatballs too: perfect as party appetizer or with some spaghetti.

Yes, we’ve been living together for 7 months already but finally decided to host a small party together. The boyfriend invited some of his friends and they came over for some beers. They made us a Pokemon Go Starter Pack, which included a Pikachu mug, power bank, map of our city (Breda!) and real life Oddish. So funny!

And I of course wanted to make some bites to serve. The Smokey Barbecue Meatballs are already online, another recipe will follow on Wednesday 😉 I also made a nacho-style dip, but didn’t take any pictures… Will recreate it and upload the recipe asap!

Food Diary

Of course, we went out for dinner or coffees many more times. Here’s a quick sneak peek….

We wanted to visit a “foodfestival” in our home town, but it turned out to be not that special… So we went out for dinner instead!

We had dinner with my parents at “Puur & de Vrienden van Hellevoet” and their starters and desserts resemble a tapas idea. This was part 2 of our starters.
