These super simple pear and goats cheese bites are the perfect addition to your tapas selection or homemade party snacks. Sweet pear, creamy cheese… Mmmm!
Together with my friend Louise from CreatyCooking I made a crazy amount of food: tapas style! It was all super delicious, and I’ll definitely recreate some of the bites to share with you as a recipe. Today is the first one: slices of pear topped with creamy goats cheese, honey and pine nuts to create the perfect combo.
Ohh, how I love Instagram. It allows me to share pictures of course, but I get so much more out of it! I love interacting with various people, getting inspired by the accounts of e.g. Delicious Australia and Donna Hay, and promoting my blog in a way.
Last spring I was contacted by Nina, who wrote her thesis about foodies. We met up a couple of times and had a lot of fun! Then, a few weeks ago I received a message from Louise. She is, like me, also very into cooking and sharing, and she lives in the same city! So she asked if we could meet up for a cup of coffee. Naturally, our shared love for food made it very easy for us to connect 😉
So we met up again, and decided to do some cooking together. We made feta-meatballs, salmon/spinach puff pastry, dates wrapped in bacon, mushrooms in balsamic vinegar… And these delicious bites.Juicy pear, creamy goats cheese, sweet honey and crunchy pine nuts combined into perfect bites. Pear and goats cheese bites
Okay, so let’s start talking about this delicious recipe! I was real pleasantly surprised by how good this all tasted together: sweet and juicy pear, creamy goats cheese, honey and crunchy pine nuts. The pear wasn’t completely ripe yet, but that was no longer noticeable after we baked it in the oven.
Serve as starter, dessert (something sweet AND cheese, hello?!), part of your tapas dishes or as small bites on a party. Enjoy, and don’t forget to share and follow my blog!
- Pear, 1 large
- Goats cheese, 25g
- Honey, 1 spoonful
- Pine nuts, 1/2 spoon
- Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius.
- Cut the pear lengthwise into thin slices. You don't have to remove the core, but you can if you wish.
- Crumble the goats cheese on top of the slices of pear.
- Drizzle with honey, and top with some pine nuts and thyme.
- This can go into the oven for 10 minutes.
