Welcome, and thank you for visiting my blog. I’ll quickly introduce myself: feel free to send me a message if you have any questions!
Let’s start with the basics. My name is Vivian, I’m a 22 years old Dutchie (which means that I’m from the Netherlands, haha) and I currently live in Breda with my boyfriend and little photobombing kitty Noes. I used to study at the Hotelschool here in Breda.
As you probably guessed already, I really enjoy cooking and found a new hobby in writing this blog. I love learning about new cuisines, diets, ingredients and techniques, which often leads to new favourite recipes I like to share on this site. Lately I’ve also been interested in learning about baking: I’m a huge sweet tooth!
All in all my experiments have varying levels of success, but learning is what it’s all about. With this blog I’d like to reach as many people as possible, with varying backgrounds: I mainly hope to motivate beginning cooks and students with my story! However, I also love meeting like-minded people, who have a passion for food and enjoy learning all about it. (feel free to shoot me a message!)
I’m not committed to one diet or cooking style: my site will literally portray what I feel like eating at dinner time, or what I’ve been reading about! Healthy recipes have sparked my interest, but cooking with sugar and butter will always have my heart.
I’ll leave it at this for now; feel free to take a look around! What you can expect on Stay Alive and Cooking: recipes, personal stories, restaurant and/or product reviews, travel blogs, events I visited and anything else that’s food related.
Don’t forget to check out my YouTube account, where I not only share recipe videos but personal ‘Coffee Vlogs’ about my life & anxiety as well as bullet journal videos.
See you around!
